NIHI at ISRII 2019

NIHI’s work was showcased at the recent ISRII (International Society for Research on Internet Interventions) 10th Scientific Meeting. The international conference brought together experts from around the world in digital health research, including researchers, developers, clinicians, policy and practice leaders, engineers and computer scientists from across the public and private sectors. Presentations included:

  • Jamal Zolhavarieh presented an update on the EngageBot project, an innovative approach to providing care to patients utilising a chatbot.
  • Robyn Whittaker and Rosie Dobson together with colleagues Jude McCool (UoA) and Adrian Aguilera (UC Berkley) presented a symposium on User-Centred CoDesign in mHealth programmes for Priority Populations. Their presentation showcased a range of projects carried out by the NIHI team including SMS4BG, TextMATCH, Text4Heart and TXTTaofiTapaa
  • Gayl Humphrey presented on the development of the See How They Grow app, a tool to support parents understanding of their child’s growth charts.
  • Jacqui Grey and Lisa Te Morenga gave presentations on the co-design of the OL@-OR@ healthy lifestyle app for Maori and Pasifika

NIHI members were also part of the local organising committee and helped to chair sessions and support the smooth running of the conference.
