New staff announcement – Helen Fitzgerald, Project Manager

Welcome to the team Helen Fitzgerald! Helen is passionate about enabling equitable outcomes, particularly for Māori, Pacific and those with disability and chronic health. She is a life-long learner, and is studying Māori Development (part-time) to fulfil her commitment to learning Te Reo.
Whilst completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Public and Environmental Health, at Auckland University of Technology, Helen has provided research, planning and evaluation services in contract roles at the Heart Foundation NZ and Autism NZ. She currently is in the governance role of Council Member for the Australasian Autism Research Council, as part of a team reviewing and defining national priorities for research.
Prior to her pathway into health, Helen has experience in the commercial and tertiary sectors spanning business development, in a start-up web development organisation, through to operational and project management roles at The University of Auckland.
Helen is excited about joining the team in the role of Project Manager where she will manage key health and wellbeing projects including service contracts that utilise-data, insights and evaluation to enable the delivery of effective and equitable healthcare in Aotearoa, and beyond.
