Auahi kore hapori whānui: action for smokefree communities

Smokefree

Auckland Council is taking the national Smokefree 2025 goal seriously by investing to create a smokefree Tāmaki Makaurau by 2025.

This commitment is underpinned by a Smokefree Implementation Plan developed in conjunction with NIHI and Hapai Te Hauora, and an innovative Auahi Kore Hāpori Whānui project that focuses on empowering communities to develop their own solutions in locations of the city where smoking is still common.

NIHI is now taking on evaluating the Auahi Kore Hāpori Whānui project, led by Professor Chris Bullen and Dr Karen Bissel.
