NIHI Matariki shared morning tea
We celebrated Matariki through the weaving of whetū (stars) and the sharing of kai here at NIHI. We thanked Tupuānuku and Tupuārangi for our kai, Waitā and Waitī for the salt and freshwaters, and Waipuna-a-rangi and Ururangi for the weather. We acknowledged Pohutukawa for all of our whānau who have left since last year, and Hiwa-i-te-rangi for all of the growth to come in the future.
Ngā mihi o Matariki, te tau hou Māori (have a wonderful Matariki!).
