Research by the National Institute for Health Innovation (NIHI), commissioned by the Stroke Foundation examined the sodium content of pre-package sauces in NZ and found that the sodium content of pre-packaged sauces is exceptionally high with only four out of 10 sauces meeting sodium targets. A diet high in sodium can increase your risk of high blood pressure and having a stroke.
