World Cancer Day | Friday 4 February

feb 4

The new World Cancer Day 2022-2024 campaign theme - 'Close the care gap', is about identifying and addressing the barriers that exist for many people around the world in access the care they need. Led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), World Cancer Day is a global initiative that aims to inspire greater awareness of cancer and action in better preventing, detecting and treating the disease.

At The National Institute for Health Innovation (NIHI), our mission is to discover, develop, test and deliver innovative approaches to prevent disease, improve people's health, reduce health inequalities, and enable the delivery of more effective and equitable healthcare in New Zealand and overseas. To achieve this we partner with individuals, communities, clinicians, and policy makers involved in health care.
