Congratulations to Dr Joanna Chu - 2021 HRC Explorer Grants

Congrats

Congratulations to Dr Joanna Chu for being awarded one of the 2021 HRC Explorer Grants!

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is the most common form of developmental disability, affecting an estimated 1,800 births every year in New Zealand. Despite this, FASD is a largely invisible disability. A new study led by Dr Joanna Chu, funded by Health Research Council of New Zealand, seeks to understand the lived experience of people with FASD and translate that to a VR experience that can help professionals to better understand the daily challenges for those with FASD.
