Let the children play, science says

2020 was a rather challenging year for us in many aspects, from health concerns, extended home confinement, job uncertainties to financial pressure, just to name a few.
This new 'norm' hasn't been exactly easy on our kids, either. They’ve been exposed to fear, frustration, boredom, and isolation. In fact, many kids are struggling emotionally, but unfortunately, little kids aren’t great at communicating this ‘stuff’ with us.
Dr. Samantha Marsh, a research fellow at the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, says that play could be the key to unlocking our children’s emotional wellbeing during these strange times.
