REMOTE-CR shortlisted for Heart Best Paper Award

The REMOTE-CR trial result paper has been shortlisted for the 2019 Heart Best Paper Award. The trial is a collaborative project between Deakin University, the University of Auckland and the National Institute for Health Innovation.
This trial compared the remotely monitored exercise-based cardiac telerehabilitation (REMOTE-CR) with centre-based programmes (CBexCR) in adults with coronary heart disease (CHD). Findings showed that REMOTE-CR was comparable with centre-based exercise programs on maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) assessed at 12 weeks. Per capita programme delivery costs were lower for REMOTE-CR.
The Heart Editorial Team reviews research papers published in Heart each year and selects the top papers for the Heart Best Paper Award. Research papers are selected based on scientific merit, clinical relevance, citations and reader interest.
Congratulations to the team.
