The OL@-OR@ mobile health programme was co-designed with Māori and Pasifika communities in New Zealand, to support healthy lifestyle behaviours. Through this four-year research project a culturally tailored smartphone app and website were developed and evaluated in a large cluster-randomised controlled trial.

The trial results were published in the Lancet Digital Health late last year and this month the publication was announced as the overall winner of the International Society for Behavioural Nutrition & Physical Activity e- and mHealth 2019 best paper award.

Congratulations to Professor Cliona Ni Mhurchu, Dr Lisa Te Morenga and the whole OL@-OR@ team for their achievement. If you’d like to read more about OL@-OR@ click here.
