World Health Day - Celebrate the nurses & midwives

As part of the WHO World Health Day, today 7 April we celebrate the significant work of nurses and midwives. This year the focus of the day is to remind world leaders of the critical role they play in keeping the world healthy. The World Health Organisation said about the importance of their work: ‘Nurses and other health workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 response - providing high quality, respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and, in some instances, collecting data for clinical studies. Quite simply, without nurses, there would be no response.’ And we couldn’t agree more. We would like to also thank all the nurses and midwives working tirelessly, not only in the fight against COVID-19, but each and every day.
